Our website has reached its second year, on this day back in 2010, a brand new Metroid fan community was born, offering exclusive news and content, building on the existing fan community already established by websites such as Metroid Database, Metroid Headquarters and Metroid Recon as well as others. I feel that Shinesparkers has surpassed expectations and has received a huge amount of support from Metroid fans and the wider Metroid community. Our Harmony of a Hunter project has been received well and our interviews and features have separated us from other similar websites. Our aims for the future continue to be built on, we hope to continue to provide fans with the same high levels of exclusive content and features and hopefully become one of the largest and most popular Metroid fan websites on the internet. We are already brainstorming ideas on how we can make this possible and hope that you will stick around and continue to support us.
I would also like to take a moment to recognise the efforts of our staff. Wavehack is our host and technical support, helping out behind the scenes to make sure things continue to run smoothly and the reason that this website is able to exist. Our staff writer Naner has been hard at work on website updates and articles and has been a big support during times when I (Darren) am not around to do so. I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest staff member Sam, who is our graphic artist. She has been a huge help with our most recent features and will continue to support us by offering her services for the various graphics found around the website. We hope that you will welcome her and support her.
As you can see, Shinesparkers is a team effort, that includes you guys too. We do what we do because we love Metroid, but we are ultimately doing this for you too. Shinesparkers wouldn’t be what it is without our fans, so thank you to each and every one of you. We hope that you will continue to support us into our future.
