It has been just over three weeks since the release of Metroid: Other M in the USA, and we now have some idea of how well the game has sold across regions. In its first two weeks, the game has sold almost 400,000 copies worldwide and considering the game received a lot of hype and advertisement fans may feel disappointed with these results.
| Region | Week 1 | Week 2 | Total |
| USA | 204,860 | 70,553 | 275,413 |
| Japan | 47,587 | 11,055 | 58,642 |
| Europe/Other | 32,210 | 11,749 | 43,959 |

I think Metroid is a game with devoted fans which falls far below the numbers of Mario and Zelda. Still if they hit a million sales world wide, there are loads of publishers who could only dream of such sales figures. There’s still time for it to do well.
