Nintendo Land’s Metroid Blast

Back in June, Nintendo announced Nintendo Land, a compilation of mini games based upon Nintendo franchises. It has now been revealed that Metroid’s mini game will be Metroid Blast, which looks like a polished version of the Battle Mii demo which was shown at E3 2011. Screenshots and information of Nintendo Land’s newly revealed minigame emerged online from the October edition of Game Informer.

The minigame puts the player controlling Samus’ gunship on the Wii U’s GamePad against up to four players controlling Miis wearing Power Suits with Wii Remotes. The four players can either play in a free-for-all or in a two-against-two team match. The minigame will feature various different maps to play on and music from the Metroid series. A single-player version of the game has also been confirmed; not much information was revealed, but it’ll put the player against hordes of enemies. Metroid Blast requires the Nunchuk and Wii MotionPlus accessories.

Nintendo Land is expected to be released later this year alongside Nintendo’s new console, Wii U.

Online multiplayer? Please? Pretty please Nintendo?

    “No.”

    Damn it.

I am so excited for this one. Why? Three reasons.
    1. I’m so relieved that Nintendo created another game after I thought they gave up on Metroid after Other M. (Seriously, Other M is a awesome game!!!)
    2. I finally get to play co-op again after I traded the co-op games I had.
3: This looks so fun and something worth waiting for.
