Team Ninja wish to work Nintendo again claims Hayashi-san

Yosuke Hayashi, the head of Team Ninja has told VG247 that the company would like to work with Nintendo again in the future. VG247 approached Hayashi-san in regards to a potential sequel to the controvercial Metroid: Other M title, to which he responded:

“Unfortunately Metroid is kind of out of our league as it’s Nintendo’s game, but we’re still in close touch with co-creator Sakamoto-san, so we want to do something with him moving forward definitely. It really depends on what he wants to do with the game first.”

These comments are nothing new from Hayashi-san, Metroid Headquarters caught up with him at A-kon 2011 where he made a similar statement.

Almost two years on, Metroid: Other M is still a touchy subject for some fans who feel the game didn’t deliver the  experience they were hoping for. What is next for the Metroid series? All we can do is speculate and see what happens.

I do not understand the fans of Metroid, METROID:OTHER M IS A GOOD GAME!!! LISTEN TO GAME CRITICS! (ign: 8.5/10, Game Spot: 8.5/10, Worth Playing: 9/10) My review for Metroid Other M is 9/10. It showcased the power of just one remote. Team Ninja, please do not put it on 3DS, I am hoping for future Metroid Wii U game with your impressive gameplay (Thumbs up for the Sensmove,Overblast, and Lethal Strike) and D-Rockets impressive cinematics in HD! Please accept Nintendo, and make it for Wii U!

it was a good game ,its just that she talked a little too much.it took away from the adventuring.

I know what’s next for Metroid. Nothing. It’s not a massive cash cow like Mario and Poke-me-mon. The one serious hardcore franchise Nintendo had it let die. Other M was great, and I think Team Ninja could have worked with Retro to make it better. But in all reality, the next time we see Sammy is in non-canon games. Like Smash Bros. Don’t get me wrong, I’m pumped for Smash Bros. Universe! But Metroid as a series is dead.

What is making me really mad is that Nintendo did not create another Metroid game for 10 years after the the legendary Super Metroid. They haven’t even mentioned a Metroid game at E3 throughout 2010,2011, not even this year!!! So what Nintendo, you just cheat your fans and give up after Other M?!? I certainly thought Other M was an awesome game. It showed the true power of just one Wii Remote! Just think of the glory you’ll bring to fans and gamers all around if you bring a impressive Wii U game!!! If you do dig up Samus’s grave, then the only franchise I’ll be thankful for is Smash Bros and only play Samus!!!

Correction, it was only 8 years after Super Metroid.

Also, Don’t give me that crap that Nintendo doesn’t care about Metroid. Please. Within the past 10 years they have released EIGHT, That’s right, EIGHT games. For some reason, the Fanbase seems to think Metroid is the most overlooked Nintendo franchise ever. Which is complete bull. Just look at F-Zero and Starfox, when was the last time either of them had a major realease?

The point I’m trying to make is that Metroid is NOT as overlooked as you seem to so obviously think.

Sorry for all that disrespect, those lies, and so much comments (What, I can’t help it!) . My review list is for the Metroid games is below:
    Platnium: Metroid Prime: 10/10 (Gamecube)
    Gold:Metroid Prime 3: 9.5/10
    Silver:Super Metroid: 9.5/10
    Bronze:Metroid Other M: 9/10
    5.Metroid: 8/10 (NES)
Note: These are all the Metroid games I’ve played.
Just be patient, enjoy the Metroid games you already have and stop rushing Nintendo,Retro,or Team Ninja.

I dont understand why every comment on this site says that other m was a good game. sure the gameplay wasnt too bad and the graphics were great for a wii game but that doesnt change the fact that there was NO EXPLORATION, and the only thing Samus and us the player did throughout the ENTIRE GAME was NARRATE the things THE OTHER CHARACTERS DID. Our only achivement was OPENING A DOOR and GETTING A DEAD GUYS HELMATE.
and thats without all of the timeline inconsistancys it created.
Or the fact that Samus went from a calcutaing badass to a winey teenager. dont belive me, just look at her body language in the cutsceans in the prime trilogy! her powersuit looked terrible, and given its apparent weight (198lbs) didnt look the part herself, whoever designed her caracter model forgot that she was a bounty hunter and not a silicon enhanced beach babe.
seriosly, the metroid games were never about the combat but with other M it was the ONLY redeeming factor.
    rant over.
